Spaghetti Western Simulator is an action-packed arcade shooter set in the Wild West. You step into the boots of Clint Westband, the most feared bounty hunter in Texas. The gameplay sees Clint roaming through five renegade towns, each infested with bandits who pop out from doors and windows. The goal is to eliminate a set number of outlaws to clear the town and collect the bounty. Clint can run, jump, crouch, and fire his six-shooters in multiple directions, including diagonally. A strategic layer is added by innocent townsfolk who also appear in windows; shooting them costs energy and bounty. You must manage ammunition, energy, and money, collecting power-ups like dynamite, jackets, and food scattered along the streets.
Amstrad CPC
Released in 1990 by Zeppelin Games, the Amstrad CPC version of Spaghetti Western Simulator was part of the multi-format budget release that also targeted the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, and MSX . Developed by Cygnus Software, this port preserves the core gameplay of the other versions, featuring five horizontally scrolling levels that increase in difficulty . The pseudo-3D perspective and the frantic shootout action against bandits are fully intact, with the same system of collecting power-ups and managing resources to survive. However, this version received a notably poor reception from the British press upon release. Amstrad Action magazine, a leading publication for the system, awarded the game a mere 37% score, reflecting significant criticism regarding the quality of the conversion and its overall playability .
