Street Fighter II

Street Fighter II: The World Warrior is the legendary fighting game that revolutionized arcades in 1991. Players choose from eight unique World Warriors—Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Guile, Blanka, Zangief, Dhalsim, and E. Honda—each with distinct special moves including fireballs, dragon punches, and spinning kicks. The goal is to defeat all opponents in best-of-three rounds, culminating with four bosses: Balrog, Vega, Sagat, and M. Bison. The arcade featured a six-button control scheme requiring complex inputs. Each fighter has their own stage with unique background music.

Published in August 1992 by U.S. Gold and developed by Tiertex Design Studios . A shocking act of courage that defies all logic . All twelve characters are present and the static graphics are surprisingly detailed . Unfortunately, this is where the quality ends. The game runs at approximately 2-3 frames per second, transforming the tactical fighter into a slow-motion nightmare . The blinding monochrome palette is headache-inducing, moving between screens loads extra data from cassette, and the iconic music is completely absent . The one-button control system crams punches and kicks into awkward joystick directions, making special moves a random accident . Called a "joyless experience" and a candidate for the worst arcade port ever made .
