Lop Ears is an arcade puzzle-adventure game with a heartwarming premise. Lop Ears, a cheerful little rabbit, strayed too far from home while playing. When he tried to return, he discovered that a new bypass had been built, blocking his route back to his family and friends . You must guide him safely home by exploring towns, gardens, woodland areas, and rabbit burrows. The game follows classic arcade adventure style: Lop Ears bounds about the screen, and you must collect, mix, and use objects in the correct locations to progress . You will encounter dogs, squirrels, weasels, and birds; some are friendly and helpful, while others try to turn you into rabbit pie . To keep your energy up, you must find and eat carrots . The puzzles seem impossible at first, but common sense is key—if you have a tin box and an opener, you open it!

The reviewer praised the colourful graphics and lots of animation, noting the game looks a bit Dizzy-like (though there's only a couple of ways to draw a tree on the Spectrum!). The game supports Kempston joysticks and keyboard controls . The puzzles are described as requiring logical and lateral thinking, ranging from simple tasks to more complex challenges involving interacting with other animals .
