Turbo Girl

ZX Spectrum

Turbo Girl (also known as Turbo Bike) is a vertically scrolling shoot 'em up published by Dinamic Software in 1988. You play as Lieutenant G. Irl on a suicide mission against three cybernetic "Elders" intercepting colony supplies. The game has three phases: a space station pipe labyrinth, a crumbling bridge that collapses on contact, and a desert with lethal windstorms. Enemies include Knockies, Trompoes, Crotas, and Itrones. Destroy each Elder by exploiting their weak points with lasers.

ZX Spectrum

Released in 1988 by Dinamic, running on 48K/128K. Title screen features Luis Royo illustration based on Brigitte Nielsen. Supports Kempston joystick and keyboard. Retains all three phases: pipe navigation, bridge management, desert survival. The game had a major TV ad campaign in Spain via Micromanía magazine. In the UK, re-released by Alternative Software as Turbo Bike. Your Sinclair gave 41%, calling it "slow, impenetrably hard and unrewarding." Critics noted slow pace and unforgiving difficulty despite varied phase design. You start with six lives, extras every 5,000 points.
