Mystery of the Nile

ZX Spectrum

Mystery of the Nile is an action-platformer set in Egypt, originally developed by Spanish studio Made in Spain and published by Zigurat Software in 1987, with international distribution by Firebird. You control three characters simultaneously: a westerner, a western woman, and the Arab al-Hasan. Their mission is to fight through four stages (Luxor, the Mut desert, a moving train, and the Jarga military complex) against the guards of the powerful Abu Sahl. You can switch between characters at any time; inactive characters follow you autonomously and must be protected. Each character has unique weapons: the man uses a pistol, the woman uses grenades, and al-Hasan attacks with an umbrella. Each stage consists of 10 flip-screens.
