WWF In Your House is an arcade-style fighting game developed by Sculptured Software and published by Acclaim Entertainment, following WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game. Rather than a traditional wrestling simulation, the gameplay is influenced by Mortal Kombat, featuring digitized sprites of wrestlers performing over-the-top moves. Matches take place in personalized stages—Shawn Michaels fights in a nightclub, The Undertaker in a crypt. The roster includes Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, The Undertaker, The British Bulldog, Owen Hart, Goldust, Ahmed Johnson, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Vader, and The Ultimate Warrior. Finishing moves are performed before the final pin, and commentary is provided by Vince McMahon and Curt Hennig.
Sega Saturn
Released for Sega Saturn on November 23, 1996, this version features CD-DA Red Book audio with each wrestler's entrance theme and supports the Saturn 6 Player Adaptor for up to four players simultaneously. The port retains the digitized sprite graphics, personalized stages, and arcade-style gameplay. Critics noted that the Saturn version suffers from incredibly long loading times, though it handles the vibrancy of the 2D sprites better than other ports. GameSpot's Jeff Gerstmann gave the Saturn version 4.5 out of 10, calling it "little more than a rehash of the original" and criticizing the rapid button-mashing gameplay. This was the last WWF wrestling game in this Mortal Kombat-inspired arcade style.
