Clockwork Knight 2 is a 2D side-scrolling platformer developed and published by Sega. It is the sequel to Clockwork Knight and directly continues the story. You control Sir Tongara de Pepperouchau III ("Pepper" for short), a brave but clumsy wind-up toy soldier in love with the Clockwork Fairy Princess Chelsea. Chelsea's magical voice wakes all the toys in the house every night at midnight. In the previous game, Pepper rescued Chelsea, but she would not wake up. Now, mind-controlled toys have kidnapped her once again, flying off into another room of the household. New friends join the adventure, including Barobaro (a donkey made from a wine bottle) and Prunchau (a spinning top valet), while Pepper's rival Sir Ginger also competes for Chelsea's heart. Gameplay is classic 2D platforming: jump, attack enemies with Pepper's key, and collect coins, gears (health), and extra lives across four worlds with two levels each.

Released in Europe on October 27, 1995, Japan on December 15, 1995, and North America in January 1996, this version adds new features: four playing cards hidden in each level, forced scrolling levels where Pepper rides Barobaro and fires his head at enemies, and a "Le Bon" race mini-game. A "Bosses Galore" mode in the US release lets you play as Pepper or Ginger fighting all bosses from both Clockwork Knight games in a row, unlocking artwork and mini-games. Critics praised the improved level design and charming Toy Story-like world but noted the game is short, very difficult with no checkpoints, and feels more like an expansion than a true sequel.
