Impossamole is a platform game developed by Core Design and published by Gremlin Graphics, the final entry in the Monty Mole series. Monty is beamed aboard an alien spacecraft, transformed into a superhero named Impossamole, and tasked with retrieving sacred scrolls from the evil Vlarg. The game features five worlds: Orient, Klondike, Ice, Amazon, and Bermuda Triangle, with the first four playable in any order. Monty has a flying kick and can collect short-lived weapons including guns, bombs, and a plasma bazooka.

PC Engine

Released in 1991 on HuCard by NEC Interchannel, a year after the Amiga original . This version opens with an excellent tribute theme by Barry Leitch remixing Rob Hubbard's classic Monty on the Run score, considered a highlight . The gameplay preserves all five worlds, password system for level access, and the flying kick mechanic . Critical reception is mixed: user scores average 8.6/10 on GameSpot , though many critics find it frustrating due to falling rocks that appear with little warning, poor ladder mechanics (walking off the top causes an undesired fall), and unforgiving difficulty . Some call it the worst in the Monty Mole series, while others consider it an acquired taste . The PC Engine version is the one currently available on Steam and GOG.com .
