Nagano Winter Olympics '98 is a multi-event sports simulation developed by Konami for the Nintendo 64, serving as the officially licensed game of the 1998 Winter Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan. The game features up to 12 winter events across multiple disciplines: alpine skiing (Downhill, Giant Slalom, Super-G), snowboarding (Giant Slalom, Halfpipe), sledding (bobsled, luge), speed skating (500m, 1500m), ski jumping, freestyle skiing aerials, and curling. Championship Mode requires players to qualify across seven events, with points determining the overall gold medal winner.

Released in Japan in December 1997 and North America in January 1998, the N64 version received mixed to negative reviews. Critics praised the vibrant graphics with well-animated characters and impressive ice reflection effects. The audio was singled out as exceptional, featuring dynamic crowd reactions and a clear announcer, with some calling it "one of the best sounding games on the N64 yet." However, significant criticisms emerged regarding event quality and controls. Some events required "finely tweaked controls" with steering issues, while others devolved into repetitive button-mashing. The Halfpipe event was singled out as particularly frustrating. Critics noted the AI was extremely challenging, and the absence of a practice mode was a notable omission. Multiplayer lacked simultaneous play—players take turns competing except in curling. One magazine awarded a dismal 32%. For N64 owners, Nagano Winter Olympics '98 offers an ambitious but uneven collection of winter sports.
