Stormlord is a scrolling platformer where you play as an ancient warrior summoned to free fairies trapped in magic bubbles by the evil Queen Badh. Navigate four fantasy levels, solving puzzles and using collected items strategically to rescue all fairies before sunset. Combat involves throwing star-like weapons or using swords, while special items like trampolines and magical artifacts assist your progress. This tongue-in-cheek arcade adventure combines exploration, puzzle-solving, and action with multiple lives to challenge your skills.

Released in 1990 by RazorSoft with development by Punk Development, the Mega Drive version was ported from the Amiga release and features graphics that closely match the computer original. The Genesis/Mega Drive version censored the fairies by adding clothing, a voluntary change by RazorSoft to accommodate concerns about the nudity in the original designs. The soundtrack by Lars Norpchen captures the game's atmosphere with sample-based sound effects throughout. However, the version was a commercial disappointment, selling only about 25,000 units. The Japanese version published by Telenet Japan is notably easier, with reduced damage taken and increased continues, making it the more forgiving choice for players seeking a less punishing experience.
