All-Star Baseball 2000 is a baseball simulation game developed by Realtime Associates and published by Acclaim Entertainment. Game modes include Exhibition, Season (customizable from 13 to 162 games), Playoffs, All-Star Game, Home Run Derby, and Batting Practice. The pitching system offers eight pitch types including fastball, curveball, and slider. Hitters can position themselves in the batter's box and utilize bunting and power swings.

Released in May 1999, this version utilizes a refined engine from Frank Thomas' Big Hurt Baseball. The game supports password saving for season progress. Critics at the time delivered mixed verdicts. The gameplay was praised for its accessibility, informative interface displaying pitcher's ERA and batting stats, and the surprising effectiveness of the older engine. However, the graphics drew sharp criticism: sprites were described as tinier and less detailed than competing titles, with solid green grass lacking dirt on base paths, and a bizarre oversight where every player appeared with the same dark skin tone. The batting difficulty was also criticized as too challenging, with home runs difficult to achieve even in Derby mode. The consensus declared All-Star Baseball 2000 the best baseball choice on Game Boy Color, while noting it had a long way to go.
