Roadsters is an arcade-style racing game developed by Player 1 and published by Titus Software, originally released for Nintendo 64 in late 1999 before arriving on Dreamcast and PlayStation in 2000. The game focuses on driving high-performance convertible sports cars across scenic and fantasy locations. It features licensed cars from manufacturers including Mitsubishi, Alfa Romeo, Lotus, and Toyota. The core single-player Roadster Trophy mode has players starting in Division 3 with a limited budget, earning cash to purchase new cars and performance upgrades to progress through three difficulty divisions. Additional modes include Quick Race, Time Trial, and two-player split-screen multiplayer.

Dreamcast

Released in North America on March 16, 2000, this version was developed from the ground up rather than being a direct port of the N64 original. Critics delivered scathing reviews. One outlet was particularly brutal, calling the game "graphically horrendous" with visuals apparently lifted from a first-generation PlayStation game, noting polygon sparkle, terrible framerates (never exceeding 20-25 FPS), and huge pixelated textures. The control scheme was criticized for being too touchy and promoting digital pad use over analog. The track design was described as "fundamentally the same track over and over again." The consensus declared Roadsters a "lost cause" and one of the worst racing games on the platform.
