Alien Incident is a point-and-click graphic adventure game developed by Finnish studio Housemarque and published by GameTek, released for MS-DOS in 1996. The game follows teenager Benjamin Richards, who visits his eccentric scientist uncle's mansion on Halloween night to witness the activation of the "Worm Hole Spawner." When a lightning strike hits the machine, it brings an alien spacecraft into Earth's solar system. The aliens, searching for a life-form called "the Entity," kidnap Benjamin's uncle. The player must explore spooky mansions, dark forests, underwater caverns, and the alien mother ship to rescue him. The game features classic point-and-click inventory puzzles, 2D pixel art graphics, and a humorous tone inspired by Space Quest. The soundtrack was composed by Jonne Valtonen.

DOS

Released in 1996 for MS-DOS, the game runs under DOS 5.0 or higher. Minimum requirements include an 80386DX CPU, 8 MB of RAM, a VGA graphics card, and a Sound Blaster compatible sound card. The game requires 5 MB of hard drive space. The game was originally developed by a six-person team under the working title Leokadia, with an intended 1994 release for PC and Amiga 1200. Due to delays, the final version arrived in 1996, and the Amiga port was cancelled. A notable feature is an auto-save system that restores progress just before a crash. The game includes English and Finnish language options. Voice acting is absent beyond the intro sequence. The game is relatively short, but includes numerous references to Star Wars and other sci-fi works.
