Titan is a puzzle-action hybrid that reinvents the classic Breakout formula. You control a small, square paddle that moves freely in four directions across a top-down maze-like labyrinth. Unlike traditional bat-and-ball games, the black ball bounces at a constant speed, moving straight or diagonally, and you must position your paddle to deflect it towards destructible blocks. Each of the 80 levels requires either destroying all breakable blocks or guiding the ball to the exit. Hazards include skull symbols that cost lives, teleporters that swap positions with the ball, and floor tiles that grow into walls if crossed too often. You can also catch and release the ball for precise shots. A unique feature allows you to slow down the game speed by holding the space key, offering a tactical advantage in tricky situations.

DOS

Released in 1989 by Titus France, this version is notable for its VGA and EGA graphics support . A specific VGA-enhanced edition was released with improved visuals over the original 1988 version . The game requires MS-DOS and runs on 5.25-inch floppy disks . Unlike other versions that received polarized reviews, this port is known for technical quirks: it reportedly does not work in DOS 7.0 (Windows 9x real mode) and modern systems require a speed limiter to run at a reasonable rate due to the absence of a frame-rate cap . Some critics have noted unpredictable ball physics and awkward controls, but the original concept and maze variety remain intact. A historically interesting but temperamental conversion .
