Frogger II - ThreeeDeep!

Commodore 64

Frogger II: ThreeeDeep! is the sequel to Konami's arcade classic Frogger, where you guide your frog safely to home berths while avoiding hazards. The major innovation is that each level spans three distinct screens. The first screen is underwater: swim against a strong current avoiding alligators, fish, submarines, and pikes, with Joe the Diving Turtle offering a safe ride. The second screen is the water's surface: hop across logs, lily pads, hippos, whales, and ducklings to reach a life preserver behind a tugboat. The third screen is airborne: use a cloud as a trampoline, hopping from bird to bird while avoiding Clyde the flying dragon. Berths are distributed across all three screens and can be filled in any order.

Commodore 64

Released in 1984 by Parker Brothers, this was the last game the company published for the Commodore 64. The game supports one or two players alternating turns. Players start with five lives and earn a bonus life every 2,000 points. Scoring includes 99 points per berth, 1 point per row advanced, and time bonus. Electronic Games praised the sequel, stating "fans of the original will be very pleased with its successor, and newer fans will find it appealing and challenging as well." A German reviewer called it "a charming and wonderfully uncomplicated game" and "a truly successful follow-up to a classic." The underwater current and three-screen structure add strategic depth beyond the original Frogger.
