Genetic Species

Amiga

Genetic Species is a first-person 3D shooter set in the 22nd century where you play as a BioShifter investigating illicit genetic experiments on a rogue space station. Blast hostile creatures, cyborgs, and droids with unique weapons. The standout feature: control living creatures and enemies via Portable Probe Device to explore new areas and solve puzzles in this immersive sci-fi action game.

Amiga

Released in May 1998 by Vulcan Software and developed by Marble Eyes, Genetic Species delivered the most impressive first-person shooter graphics the Amiga had ever seen. Fuzzy photo-realistic visuals rivaled N64-era 3D games with smooth animation and spectacular recoil effects. A stunning 3D-rendered intro showcased AGA capabilities. Multilingual support ensured broad accessibility. Requiring fast hardware (68020 CPU, 8MB RAM minimum), it ran smoothly on accelerated systems and proved what the late-era Amiga could achieve graphically.
