Amiga

Released in 1995 by Black Legend (developed by Polish studio Virtual Design), Citadel was one of the first truly playable Doom-style games on Amiga. Featuring texture-mapped 3D graphics, it ran on standard Amiga 500 hardware while offering scalable graphics options for faster machines. The game featured variable screen sizes and impressive performance optimization. Designed to run on an Amiga 500, the game offered unique mechanics like wall physics and the ability to set enemies on fire. Dark humor and gore added personality to the experience. Citadel stood out among Amiga FPS attempts for being genuinely playable and engaging.
