Rock 'n' Roll is an action-puzzle game where you control a spotted ball trapped in a labyrinth with 32 levels plus a secret bonus level. Your objective is to reach the exit on each level, navigating obstacles such as locked doors (requiring keys), ice that hinders steering, fans that push you away, magnets that pull you, and crumbling floor tiles. A map is accessible at any time but starts blank; you must collect "eyes" to reveal various objects on the map. Using coins found throughout levels, you can purchase supplies including a fastball, spikeball, bombs, hints, extra lives, and shortcuts. The physics system gives the ball realistic momentum, making control intuitive yet challenging. The name derives both from rolling the ball and the catchy rock-and-roll-inspired background tunes.

Amiga

Released in 1989 by German developer Rainbow Arts, the Amiga version is the definitive edition. The game was conceived and programmed by Frank Prasse, with game design by Martin Gaksch. The legendary composer Chris Hülsbeck created the soundtrack, featuring energetic rock-and-roll tunes that were highly praised by critics. On the Amiga, the ball is steered with the mouse, offering precision control. The German magazine Amiga Joker noted the "challenging presentation, fair gameplay and a healthy portion of puzzles", adding that the soundtrack features "furious rock and roll tracks". The original release included a DIN A3 poster. The game was converted to multiple platforms including Atari ST, Commodore 64, MS-DOS, ZX Spectrum, and Amstrad CPC.
