Nevermind is a surreal isometric puzzle-adventure where players navigate a series of increasingly bizarre, dream-like landscapes. The objective is to restore order to a chaotic world by manipulating the environment and solving complex spatial puzzles across 250 different screens. As a circular, orb-like character, you must push blocks, toggle switches, and bridge gaps while avoiding surreal hazards and "glitches" in reality. The game is heavily inspired by M.C. Escher’s impossible geometry, requiring players to think in three dimensions to find the correct path through each mind-bending level.

Amiga

Published by Psygnosis in 1989 and developed by MC Lothlorien, the Amiga version is often considered the definitive way to experience this abstract title. It features the high-contrast, atmospheric art style typical of early Psygnosis releases, utilizing the Amiga's color palette to create a cold, sterile, yet fascinating atmosphere. The game is notable for its haunting, minimalist soundtrack that perfectly complements the unsettling feeling of being trapped in a digital dreamscape. While the controls require precision due to the isometric perspective, the Amiga's hardware handles the screen transitions and object physics smoothly. It remains a cult classic for those who enjoy "thinking" games that prioritize atmosphere and mental challenge over traditional action.
