Gakko no Kowai Uwasa: Hanako-san ga Kita!! is a comedic-horror adventure game based on the popular Japanese urban legend of Hanako-san, the ghost girl who haunts school toilets. The story follows a group of schoolchildren who attempt to summon Hanako using a haunted payphone, only to accidentally break the seal on a host of evil spirits and demons . Now trapped in their school after dark, they must enlist the help of the friendly ghost girl Hanako to banish the malevolent forces before sunrise. Gameplay is presented from a first-person perspective, tasking players with exploring the school's eerie halls and classrooms to collect seven scattered fragments of a broken mirror . The adventure includes puzzle-solving elements, item collection, and various mini-games, all wrapped in a lighthearted, child-friendly horror atmosphere.
